POSITION DESCRIPTION
Development Manager
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer | FLSA Status: Exempt | Full-Time, Remote Now / In-Office by January 2027
THE OPPORTUNITY
Hearts Alive Village is entering an exciting new chapter of growth. We are investing in our people, our fundraising capacity, and our long-term sustainability to ensure we can continue transforming the lives of animals and the people who love them.
The Development Manager makes that growth happen day to day.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position runs the organization's fundraising activity. You will manage annual giving, grants, and corporate partnerships, carry a portfolio of mid-level donors, keep the fundraising calendar moving, and build the systems the program depends on. The CEO sets fundraising strategy and revenue goals, holds the major gift and board relationships, and approves the annual development plan. Your job is to make that plan happen. As the department grows, this position is designed to report to a Development Director.
This is a strong fit for a fundraiser who likes to build and run things, who takes real satisfaction in a campaign that ships on time and a database that tells the truth, and who wants room to grow their donor work over time. This position is remote today while Hearts Alive Village secures office space, and becomes a full-time in-office position by January 2027. Remote work is a temporary arrangement, not the long-term plan for this role. Candidates must live in the Las Vegas area or be prepared to relocate before the office opens.
