Community Resources Specialist

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Programming

LOCATION: Weymouth, MA and Hull, MA

SUMMARY: Wellspring Multi-Service Center is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Community Resources Specialist to connect individuals and families with essential government and human service programs. This role is key to helping clients access resources that support their stability and well-being, while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. We’re looking for someone who brings professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude—even on the tough days.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field

·       Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human services delivery

·       Strong knowledge of state and federal entitlement systems and program development

·       Familiarity with local community agencies and available services

·       Bi-lingual abilities strongly preferred

·       Experience with legal aid services and the Massachusetts Court System is a plus

·       Willingness to take initiative and assist beyond core responsibilities when needed

·       A friendly, approachable demeanor and a good sense of perspective appreciated

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Assist clients with applications for SNAP, MassHealth, CHAMP, RAFT, Fuel Assistance, and similar programs

·       Identify and coordinate housing resources to meet client needs

·       Seek out and maintain updated referral sources and community information

·       Support and promote Wellspring’s range of client services and educational programs

·       Maintain accurate records and update client databases in a timely manner

·       Build relationships with local and regional nonprofit organizations

·       Fully engage in the Case Management System, contributing to holistic client support
