Description

The National Motorists Association, Inc. (NMA), a 501(c)(3) membership-based advocacy organization fighting for the rights of motorists since 1982, is seeking a CEO to head the organization, overseeing public policy, fundraising, and membership growth initiatives while also managing daily business operations.

The successful candidate will have proven experience successfully leading a nonprofit advocacy organization. This is a full-time, hands-on position that will require involvement in all aspects of the business, from advocacy and marketing, to management of an annual budget and associated staff. The job is located at the NMA national office in Waunakee, Wisconsin, a suburb of the capital city of Madison.

The NMA is nonpartisan in the sense of left or right-wing political ideologies. Its politics are based on its mission, and its members’ passion, to protect the rights and freedoms of motorists. Those issues include:

  • Rational, science-based traffic laws
  • Prevention of abusive and money-driven enforcement
  • Road-user fees dedicated to maintaining/improving roads and bridges
  • Constitutional rights of drivers and passengers

NMA positions are grounded in the principles of civil liberties and in respecting the importance of individual responsibility.

The NMA seeks a CEO to lead and grow the organization for current and future generations of drivers. The starting annual base salary will be $125,000 to $150,000, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, accomplishments, and ability to attract new donors to join existing patrons. Compensation will be supplemented with incentive bonuses for fundraising and membership growth successes. The position is available immediately.
