Description
Chief Executive Officer
Chicago, IL
Founded in 2000, First Tee – Greater Chicago (FTGC) creates experiences that build character to empower kids through a lifetime of new challenges and continuous personal growth. FTGC delivers Life Skills programming at 12 program sites throughout the Chicagoland area. In addition to these dedicated sites, the organization collaborates with more than 40 schools and community partners to introduce golf and life skills to youth who may not otherwise have access to the game. In 2025, more than 10,000 young people participated in FTGC’s programs and initiatives. Over the past four years, the organization has expanded its impact by developing three dedicated youth golf facilities, creating more opportunities for learning, mentorship, and personal growth.
The organization is well positioned to improve its impact significantly in the coming years. FTGC is at a pivotal moment in its journey, presenting an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to drive the organization forward. FTGC has a strong foundation and a proven track record of success, including raising over $650,000 at the 25th anniversary event in 2025 and completing a successful capital campaign in 2024 to establish a third location in Evanston. FTGC also received a transformational donation of $250,000 from The Presidents Cup, positioning the organization to expand programming and reach even more young people across Chicagoland.
The next CEO will have the unique chance to expand fundraising efforts and corporate partnerships, leveraging the organization's position as one of the only golf nonprofits in Chicago. By fostering strategic relationships with key partners such as the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars and the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA), the leader can amplify FTGC’s brand awareness and solidify its role as a chapter leader within the golf community.
The CEO of First Tee – Greater Chicago will be a dynamic leader with an adaptable approach to operationalizing strategy while maintaining a youthful enthusiasm and optimism. This individual will possess a deep passion for the mission of youth development and sports, particularly golf, and will be committed to empowering young people through impactful programming.
The salary range for this position is between $200,000 – $225,000 and will be commensurate with experience. FTGC offers a board designated bonus opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to, paid holidays, PTO, group medical, vision and dental, as well as a generous 401k plan.
