Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing engaging activities that promote developmental growth, assist with daily caregiving routines, and ensure each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Your energy and commitment will contribute to creating a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social skills, and early childhood development.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers
- Support children during playtime, meals, nap times, diaper changes, and other daily routines with patience and care
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and any special needs to inform teaching strategies
- Foster positive behavior management by encouraging good manners, sharing, and cooperation among children
- Support inclusive practices by working effectively with children with disabilities or special educational needs
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's day-to-day experiences and developmental milestones
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for toddlers
- First aid certification and familiarity with emergency response procedures
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents or guardians
- Compassionate caregiver with patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude toward child safety and well-being
