Since 1963, Spon­sors for Edu­ca­tional Oppor­tu­nity (SEO) has made a life­time of achieve­ment pos­si­ble for 10,000 tal­ented young peo­ple from under­served and under­rep­re­sented communities. We run three separate programs.

SEO Scholars: Eliminating the Achievement Gap for Underserved Students

Our eight-year academic program prepares underserved public high school students for admission to the nation's most competitive colleges—and supports them through college graduation. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges and more than 90% graduate within 6 years (compared to 57% of all college students who graduate nationally). SEO Career: The Nation's Premier Internship Program for Underrepresented College Students

Our summer internship program has placed more than 7,000 undergraduate students in paid summer internships with our banking, corporate leadership, law, non-profit and private equity partners. In 2015 and 2016, more than 80% of SEO Career interns received full-time job offers at 60+ partner companies. (http://www.seo-usa.org/career/)

SEO Alternative Investments: Creating Diverse Opportunities

Our educational program provides exposure, training and mentoring opportunities to talented professionals traditionally underrepresented in the alternative investments sector. Our ten-month Fellowship program launched in 2009 with founding partners KKR and TPG Capital. We also host an annual Alternative Investments Conference. (http://www.seoaltinvestments.org/).
