Description

Scion Executive Search (www.scionexecutivesearch.com) has been retained to conduct a search for a new Vice President, Volunteer Engagement for International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a 70,000 member-strong global trade association. ICSC’s mission is to ensure the retail real estate industry is broadly recognized for the integral role it plays in the social, civic, and economic vibrancy of communities across the globe. This full time, onsite position is for immediate hire and is based in the organization’s headquarter offices in New York, New York.

About ICSC:

Did you know: Millennials do 70% of their shopping in-store? That physical stores generate 90.7% of all retail sales? And that retail real estate-related employment equals almost 34 million U.S. jobs, which is more than 1 in 6 jobs in the country?

ICSC has been serving the retail real estate industry since 1957. ICSC hosts hundreds of events each year providing members the ability to network and explore partnerships. ICSC also provides professional development via education and certification courses for members and plays a key role in developing relationships and dialogue with decisionmakers in the public sector.

ICSC is driven by:

Building Communities: retail real estate properties offer a place to hang out after work, walk around with friends or family, and experience life offline.

Fueling Economies: retail real estate properties are essential to economic development, largely because of the property and sales taxes they generate. They also create jobs, buoy GDPs, and help drive the U.S. economy.

Inspiring Innovation: retail real estate will shape the social practices, business policies, and technologies of the future. ICSC stays on the cutting edge of industry trends so members are equipped to lead their businesses into the future.
