Now Hiring: Full-time Trainer position in the Baltimore area at $56 - $72K!

Community Housing Partners (CHP) is pleased to announce a new Training Center located in Baltimore, MD. CHP Energy Solutions, a division of CHP, helps income-qualifying homes become healthier, safer, and more energy-efficient through federal, state, and utility-sponsored programs, and operates several leading Training Centers.  The Baltimore Campus Training Center extends the knowledge and skills of the Energy Solutions team to weatherization and energy efficiency professionals across the country. We offer building science and energy conservation education and certifications and were one of the first Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) accredited training centers in the nation.

We are currently seeking a Trainer in the Baltimore area to support our training needs. The Trainer will deliver weatherization and building science training to agencies that provide Department of Energy (DOE) weatherization assistance programs.  Weekly courses are taught to train professionals in the implementation of weatherization projects in classroom, lab, and field settings. With duties of a professional nature, this position reviews, trains, and proctors tests on the DOE weatherization assistance program, which provides energy audits and energy-efficient upgrades. This Trainer position is ideal for those who are energized in a learning environment, willing to travel nationally, have an engaging presence, and find it rewarding to train and transplant new knowledge to adult learners.  Applicants who may be inexperienced in building science but willing to learn will receive onsite training at our Christiansburg Campus Training Center two or more times a month for 6 to 8 months. Overnight and daytime travel is required, as well as occasional evening and weekend hours according to project needs. Valid driver’s license required.

CHP offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits including up to 12 paid vacation days in the first year, 7 sick days, 9 federal + 2 floating holidays, wellness-focused, medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; paid maternity and paternity leave, 403B retirement plan with company contribution and match; and much more. Salary starts at $56K - $72K depending on qualifications and experience.
