ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

Culture Reframed (CR) was founded in 2015 to respond to what the organization’s President & Founder, Dr. Gail Dines, has termed “the public health crisis of the digital age.” CR builds resilience and resistance in young people to hypersexualized media and porn culture by:

  • Increasing knowledge, skills, and confidence

We work with tens of thousands of parents, caregivers, educators, counselors, doctors, and others around the world.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Culture Reframed seeks to hire an experienced, tech-savvy, and creative professional to continue to build the organization’s online and media presence. The position includes day-to-day content creation for the organization’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, website, blog) as well as email communications. The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager will develop and implement strategic campaigns to attract new followers and build brand awareness for Culture Reframed on a global level. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms, aptitude for marketing and communications, ability to demonstrate engagement via social media analytics, and awareness of best practices as they evolve.

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Executive Director and the Founder & President of Culture Reframed. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Map out a comprehensive social media marketing plan to engage current followers and expand our audiences across all platforms (FB, TW, IG, LI)

Write, post, and promote blog pieces

Develop, update, and manage content for website, ensuring that it is current and engaging

Understand the organization’s desired constituencies and develop messaging – in conjunction with other staff – to engage those audiences

Manage reporting and analytics for all social channels, while tracking and evaluating the overall performance of channels to develop more effective strategies and campaigns

Work with a designer to create powerful and engaging social media content with on-brand imagery

Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy

Create e-blasts via Mailchimp on a regular basis

Produce livestreams

Manage consultant relationships

Other responsibilities as needed

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated commitment to the Culture Reframed mission

Excellent writer, editor, and proofreader, who is able to convey messages succinctly and has a feel for storytelling

Ability to write, edit, and produce compelling and accurate content, both short form (tweets, etc.) and long form (blog posts)

Proven success as a digital marketer with experience using social media platforms

Proficiency in WordPress and Mailchimp

Understanding of on-page and off-page SEO tactics

Extensive experience building and maintaining a robust follower base across all major social media platforms

Creative thinker with a distinctive voice

Flexible, adaptable, and highly organized

Positive attitude

Ability to create and articulate an overall vision, while simultaneously identifying and monitoring the steps that will bring the vision to fruition

Understanding of paid digital advertising (Facebook and Google)

Video production experience helpful but not required

 

Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Part-time (20 hours per week).
