SFLPEC Director
One Full-Time Benefited Position

Background
The San Francisco Latino Parity and Equity Coalition (SFLPEC) is a fiscally sponsored project of Good Samaritan Family Resource Center (GSFRC). SFLPEC’s mission is to advocate and develop action plans that empower and improve the lives of the Latinx community in San Francisco. For the next three years, SFLPEC will move beyond city budget advocacy to establish collective civic engagement strategies and develop the next Latinx collective impact agenda and leadership in San Francisco. SFLPEC is a membership organization governed by an elected steering committee and co-chairs known as El Concilio.

Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced movement builder and collective impact champion. SFLPEC’s Director will be responsible for creating, executing, and continuously evaluating a comprehensive strategy that ensures the quality, efficiency, and consistency of the SFLPEC’s mission, vision, and priorities. The SFLPEC Director will be supported and receive direction from the Concilio via SFLPEC’s membership and will report to the Co-chairs. The Director will also maintain regular communication with fiscal sponsor and be subject to GSFRC’s employee policies and procedures. This position is remote with the expectation that it will be hybrid office eligible in the future. SFLPEC Director should be available to meet in person regularly with SFLPEC member organizations, partners and others as needed, while working remotely.

Salary Range
Exempt annual salary from 90k to 115k DOE.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership/Administrative/Operations Responsibilities
● Becomes a high profile leader and represents the coalition and its members, and actively participates in external events, both increasing visibility, and credibility, and develop strategic partnerships in order to increase community awareness
● Research opportunities to highlight SFLPEC’s vision, values, work, and collective impact in the community
● Maintains the relationship with our member organizations and key stakeholders on a local, state and national level
● Works with Concilio members to set agendas for monthly membership meetings
● Leads the recruitment and retention of member organizations and ensures the database of all members is maintained.
● Ensures the coordination of meetings and the engagement of agency members
● Participates in work plan development, policy platforms and discussions with current workgroups
● Build and lead an effective team dedicated to fulfilling the organization’s mission through highly successful program implementation, community engagement, and fundraising targets
● Hire and supervise SFLPEC staff/contractors. Provide the necessary leadership to serve as a role model to inspire, motivate and empower others to build their professional capacity and job success
● Encourage teamwork, creative thinking, and effective communication.
● Strengthen existing relationships and cultivate new philanthropic prospects with the community and current partnerships
Communication
● Work with a consultant to build and maintain SFLPEC’s website to provide meaningful information about
the coalition, its work and its members
● Create a communication strategy and manage information sharing across social media platforms and
organizations
● Coordinate meetings and follow-ups with elected officials, leaders, and partners on behalf of the coalition
partners
Development and Budgeting
● Responsible for leading fundraising, grant writing, and timely grant reporting for the coalition
● Overseeing and leading the annual SFLPEC budget and planning process alongside the co-chairs,
administering and reviewing all financial plans and budgets; monitoring progress and changes, and
managing coalition cash flow and forecasting. Fiscal sponsor will provide support and guidance.
● Provide guidance to the Concilio for the successful financial administration and forecasting of all aspects
of the organization
Data Analytics
● Maintains donor data input, ensuring completion of timely data entry, gift processing, gift
acknowledgments, and donor solicitation.
● Prepares and analyzes financial reporting in collaboration with GSFRC’s fiscal team and presents to the
co-chairs and Concilio
● Create improved systems and establish efficient workflows that are informed by data and a robust
continuous quality improvement approach.
● Oversee coalition technology strategy and development
● Collaborate with fiscal sponsor to ensure compliance with grants, and compile data and perform analyses
Human Resources
● Director will work with GSFRC’s HR system and subject to GSFRC’s employee policies and procedures to
address onboarding, training, and general HR issues.
● Develop partnerships with higher education institutions to explore and develop internship programs
● Establishing metrics-based goals, work plans, and performance results for SFLPEC staff/consultants
● Use Salesforce to enhance employee productivity and program results

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Spanish fluency preferred
● Experience working on high level community-based policy and advocacy, racial justice and equity issues
● Preferred, 3-5 years of experience in executive-level project management, managing community
collaborative and/or experience with collective impact projects.
● Significant experience in the development and administration of programs and administrative/systems
functions
● Proven success that inspires and collaborates with staff in a way that is flexible and supportive, while
promoting accountability and responsibility
● Ability to work in partnership with Concilio and maintain personal commitment with high levels of
performance and integrity
