Mission Advancement Professionals (MAP) is seeking experienced development professionals to join our dynamic consulting team. Consultants work with a variety of clients and must be able to navigate a wide range of organizational cultures. Successful nonprofit experience in relational, major gift fundraising is key. This position will focus on client service and new business development. Management experience is preferred.
Candidates should possess qualities to make them successful in the following areas:
➢ Managing a sustainable major gifts program and/or successful capital campaign.
➢ Working with organization leadership and high-level volunteers to implement a
proposed plan of action.
➢ Serving as support and resource to all members of an organization's advancement team.
➢ Providing orientation and training through formal and informal methods to develop the
skills of advancement staff and volunteers.
➢ Coordinating communications efforts, including print and visual collateral materials.
➢ Facilitating the prospect review process; prospect identification, research and
➢ Creating activity/awareness building and cultivation opportunities.
➢ Developing cultivation and solicitation strategies for key donor prospects; briefing and
preparing the solicitation team for donor meetings.
➢ Maintaining communication through post-visit correspondence, telephone, video
conference, and email communications with client and key volunteer leaders when offsite.
➢ Introducing a level of professionalism to the advancement office of the client that will
bring an impactful success to the initiative as well as the mission of the organization.
➢ Willingness to work with a variety of faith-based organizations and adapt to the
MAP is based in the Dallas, Texas area. We are looking for Houston based team
members. Some travel may be required to serve clients in other parts of the country.
