Description

The SANE Administrator  will manage the daily records and reporting  of the SANE program and further the agency’s mission to assist adult and child survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and trafficking; prevent the incidence of these crimes through education and services; and raise community awareness of the need for justice and compassion for victims.

 

Responsibilities

E-            Connotes Essential Functions

E-1         Manage administrative responsibilities of SANE Program; including the integrity of physical and electronic records for SANE cases, evidence database, and updates to policies and procedures

E-2          Prepare monthly SPOT report; complete monthly Suffolk Stat report; complete SC and DCJS WAVA quarterly grant reports and others as needed

E-3          Schedule preliminary and final monthly on-call calendar coverage for SANEs and trainees and provide on-call overnight availability to dispatch and triage SANE cases as needed

E-4          Schedule the RCC monthly calendar coverage assignments and distribute to relevant parties

E-5          Recruit, train, and provide continuing educational programming for RCC team

E-6          Collect, review and approve all on-call and case vouchers in a timely manner

E-7          Maintain appropriate inventory at VIBS (and at SANE centers as backup) including a supply of survivor folders and police evidence materials at VIBS at all times

E-8          Attend SART meetings; assist with agenda, compose minutes

9            Create process documentation for key SANE processes and protocols; identify opportunities for program improvements and submit summary proposals for recommended changes

10           Keep informed of existing laws, legal rights, and options for victims

11           All other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience in rape crisis work preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm when dealing with crisis situations
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
