Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS), located in lovely Trumansburg, New York, is a residential treatment program for men that provides clients not only with addiction counseling, but also vocational, recreational, and mental health counseling to support ongoing recovery.
Located on acres of beautiful country land, CARS provides numerous opportunities for clients to be “in nature”, to partake in outdoor exercise, feed the birds, enjoy our gardens, spend time in fresh air, take walks and runs, and participate in outdoor sports (basketball, cornhole, horseshoes, and pickleball) in a safe environment that is conducive to recovery.
CARS offers extensive services designed to help individuals address and overcome a wide variety of addiction-related issues. Program and treatment offerings include Co-occurring Disorders, Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT), Codependency, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Counseling, Individual Counseling, and Group Counseling.
As RESIDENTIAL CLINICAL SUPERVISOR for CARS, you will play an integral role in the treatment of individuals working on their substance abuse recovery in this 60-bed residential treatment facility.
OUR MISSION: To provide evidence-based techniques to help individuals overcome the disease of addiction by a team of caring professionals consisting of social workers, nurses, chemical dependency counselors and more. We build respectful partnerships with clients and their families by working hand-in-hand towards the common goal of recovery.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE POSITION
Develop team of Chemical Dependency Counselors, provide supervision and guidance, and develop and implement superior programming to be facilitated by your clinical team
Directly Supervise team including Chemical Dependency Counselors, Admissions and Case Management Team, Mental Health Counselors, Psychiatric NP, and Recreation Therapist
Work hand-in-hand with Residential Program Director to develop and maintain meaningful staff development programming for Counseling Team
Collaborate with skilled multidisciplinary team
Be actively engaged in the day-to-day concerns of the facility as they relate to clinical matters; Provide a solid and consistent leadership presence for clients and clinical team
Partner with the Chief Operations Officer and Program Director to ensure high quality, evidenced based program standards are maintained
Share your expertise and knowledge of the physical, mental, emotional, and social ramifications of substance abuse as well as skills in substance abuse counseling techniques, group dynamics and techniques of conducting psychoeducational and therapy groups, principles of adult learning and accepted crisis intervention techniques
Handle compliance and regulatory issues for Medicaid and oversight Agency (OASAS)
Knowledge and experience with OASAS regulatory compliance is a plus.
EDUCATIONAL / LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Qualified Health Professional (QHP) status with at least three years of chemical dependency treatment experience.
- License: Appropriate NYS QHP clinical license required or equivalent
SALARY: $60 -$70K/Annual
