Description

We are Seeking Two New Teammates to Work With Communities Across Colorado

The Civic Canopy seeks two team members to work closely together and along with other Canopy teammates to coordinate, design, facilitate and support collaborative projects in communities across Colorado. Joining  The Civic Canopy  team means you are committed to transforming the way pivotal issues in society are solved by advancing equity and fostering relationships, capacities, and collaboration.

We are seeking candidates who are committed to and passionate about these core beliefs:

o  Every individual matters and contributes – you strive to ensure that those affected by an issue have a meaningful opportunity to influence action on the issue.

o  Communities are filled with assets and solutions – you believe that your role is to enhance and elevate the capacities that naturally exist within community.

o  The answers emerge from the collective – you lift up a culture of collaboration by addressing power, access and the larger systems within which collaboration is embedded.

o  Civil society is a place of caring, compassion, and love – you commit to building thriving communities in which all participate, prosper and reach their full potential.

In short, to work at The Civic Canopy, you must be committed to sharing your unique skills and expertise, continuing to learn and grow, and deepening the organization’s ability to live, breathe, and achieve equity.

We are looking for individuals who can coordinate, design, facilitate and manage Canopy projects that provide capacity building for individuals, organizations, and coalitions to enhance skills and knowledge in complex collaboration for social change. • Project Coordination and Management – end-to-end management of project work plans, coordinating project teams and events, tracking progress towards outcomes
  • Internal Team Functions – carrying out the core functions we need to operate as a successful organization (e.g. evaluation, communications, team capacity building, etc.)

Desired Qualifications (varies per position):

  • Equity Champion: you have experience addressing barriers to inclusion to create diverse spaces of belonging, acknowledging and addressing conflict, engaging in a wide range of action to address issues of equity- diversity- inclusion, and creating conditions where all people can thrive. (applies to both roles)
  • Technology Tool Competency: you have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Google Suite and comfort learning new project management and collaborative facilitation tools such as AirTable, Asana, Slack, and Zoom.
