The Health District’s Larimer Health Connect program is seeking a Program Assistant to join our dynamic team dedicated to helping Larimer County residents understand their health insurance options and access financial assistance based on income, to help reduce costs. We provide unbiased, remote and in-person assistance in exploring free and lower-cost health insurance plans, including plans from the Connect for Health Colorado Marketplace, Medicaid and CHP+, insurance discounts, enrolling in health coverage and assisting with conducting outreach and public education.

Pay Range and Status

  • $18.26 to $19.24 per hour DOQ
  • 40 hrs/wk

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year of experience in related work (administrative assistant, receptionist).

Key Responsibilities

The Program Assistant:

  • Ensures visitors are acknowledged and greeted with pleasant and professional etiquette.
  • Answers phones pleasantly and professionally, transfers voicemails, schedules and confirms appointments.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures at the Mason office. Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, faxing, mailing, taking minutes and data entry.
  • Performs and provides comprehensive support to the Larimer Health Connect team.
  • Becomes knowledgeable about Connect for Health Colorado, Medicaid, CHP+, Medicare and Prescription Assistance, including eligibility requirements applicable to these programs.
  • Learns and maintains a broad base of internal and external knowledge of community resources, policy and program changes, and other unique projects and makes appropriate referrals and/or accommodations.
