General Responsibilities

The Junior League of Seattle (JLS) is seeking a part-time Office Coordinator. This position will be scheduled to work approximately 20 hours a week at JL Seattle headquarters in Madison Park, Seattle. Responsibilities of the role include assisting with daily clerical and administrative duties including, but not limited to, the following:


Membership Administration

  • Updates member information and requirements in database, runs reports on membership as needed
  • Prints lists and labels of membership as requested
  • Helps prepare mailings, including generating Excel lists, mail-merging to Word, and assembling final pieces for mail


Headquarters Administration

  • Provides daytime coverage, including answering phone and giving members and visitors access to building
  • Processes sales of League products
  • Oversees headquarters supplies, including office and kitchen supplies, and assists Director of Administration as needed in procurement


Development Support

  • Creates and maintains donor records involving data entry and records clean-up, with input and information from the Fund Development team Donor cultivation activities tracking, including generating acknowledgement letters and preparing “ask” mailings
  • Supports the development and documentation of protocols to establish and nurture the donor network



  • Minimum 3 years in an administrative / program coordinator or related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Professional phone and email manners
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and multi-task when necessary
  • Strong software skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Database proficiency required-ability to learn proprietary member platform Digital Cheetah (member and donor database)
  • Team player with positive, professional attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong work and attendance ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage both paper and electronic files are all a must
  • References will be requested of final candidates, in addition to a CORI background check
