Description

Northwest Center is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Early Supports Team!

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) you will provide evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to children, birth to three years old, who have delays or disorders in motor, feeding, social-emotional and sensory development. Location: South Park

Schedule: Part-Time, 24 Hours a week, moving into Full-Time, 32 hours a week starting in January 2022

Wage: $31.00 - $38.00 per hour DOE + $1,500 hiring bonus!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Planning, designing, and implementing occupational therapy within a natural environment following early intervention guidelines and requirements
  • Documentation of data within ESIT data management system
  • Planning adaptation and development of environment and equipment in community, home, and classroom environments
  • Providing consultation and training to support feeding to staff and families
  • Collaborating with the family and team to implement therapy and connecting with outside support services as needed
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, OTD, or equivalent
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Washington
  • NBCOT certified
  • At least one year of experience working in pediatrics or fieldwork that includes a pediatric affiliation.
  • Early Supports or working a caseload including clients aged birth to three experience is preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, families, and community partners
  • Candidates with experience providing services in a non-English language, feeding therapy, and/or infant mental health experience desired

About Northwest Center Early Supports:

Northwest Center Kids is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our highly-skilled, collaborative, and innovative multidisciplinary team serving a diverse community. This position provides evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to children, birth to three years old, who have delays or disorders in motor, feeding, social-emotional and sensory development.

We serve children in their homes, childcare, and community settings. Using a strengths-based coaching model, we build family capacity through information sharing, modeling, and reflection.

At Northwest Center Kids, we support professional development, financially and with time, and are committed to our staff reaching their full potential. Our nine specialty early supports programs have been developed by dedicated staff being supported to innovate based on family/child needs. Examples of these programs include our EPIC team, feeding team, hospital-to-home transition team, CHERISH replication team, infant mental health team, and parent programming.
