Meridian Counselor
Have you considered working in the behavioral addiction field and are not sure how to get started? Are you interested in working with individuals with problem gambling and gaming? Emergence has been Lane County’s leading treatment program for disordered gambling for the last 20 years and offers training for those who would like to become a Certified Gambling Addictions Counselor.
The Meridian program offers individual and group counseling in a safe and non-judgmental setting. The therapists are not only trained in the addiction of gambling and gaming but are skilled in working with each person and creating a program tailored to individual needs. We offer integrated care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and/or substance use, and are passionate about trauma-informed and brain-informed approaches to care.

Hiring Bonus:
· $3,500! $1,500 paid on your first regular paycheck, $2,000 after 6 months.

In-house clinical supervision provided
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinically-Focused Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Related field or QMHA eligible

Commitment to anti-racism and addressing systemic oppression as part of clinical work

Current COVID vaccinations or willingness to become vaccinated
-
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (including cannabis)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with the following: working with the LGBTQIA+ community, working with the BIPOC community, Spanish-speaking, evidence-based trauma modalities, working with adolescents and/or adults in addiction treatment, treating co-occurring disorders chemical dependency.
