Description

Create the strategy and execute the fundraising campaigns for the Membership team for both KCTS 9 and Crosscut, build a strong organization and inspire a smarter world while demonstrating CPM’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity. These include the quarterly omni-channel campaigns, days-of-giving and other ad hoc campaigns, collaborating both within the Philanthropy team and across the organization to successfully execute each campaign.

Salary: $75,000-$80,000

Seattle, hybrid schedule requires days onsite each week and other days remote

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Project manager for all membership fundraising campaigns
  • Create the strategy behind each campaign, using testing and data to  inform campaign strategy
  • Manage relationships and deliverables with external vendors to coordinate direct mail, digital and on-air pledge efforts, creating a holistic approach to all fundraising channels
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the Philanthropy team and across the organization to determine the best way to leverage the CPM promotional assets (e.g., on-air, email, social media, newsletters, web, digital ads, direct mail, etc.)
  • Disseminate campaign information and assets to stakeholders  throughout the organization to implement fundraising campaign calls-to-action
  • Manage the campaign creative, submitting creative briefs to the design team and writing the copy for all campaign assets
  • Write and/or review copy for campaign emails, donation form pages, on-air scripts, social media and newsletters
  • Manage and document the testing and iteration process for fundraising campaigns
  • Track and report campaign data and revenue
  • Communicate with staff on campaign schedules and progress of campaigns
  • Lead the post-campaign retrospectives with the full membership team
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong writing ability and experience in creating fundraising calls-to-action (previous writing samples will be required)
  • Highly-organized and detail-oriented, ability to track multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both a remote and in-person environment
  • Self-motivated and works well without supervision
  • Bringing an appreciation and understanding of public media is a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit setting, with a demonstrated understanding of the donor lifecycle and fundraising best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with fundraising CRMs (Salesforce preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation to meet requirements of the job.
  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
