Description

The Bretton Woods Committee (BWC), the preeminent non-profit organization dedicated to effective global economic and financial cooperation, seeks a Membership Associate to join our expanding team and support membership recruitment, retention, and growth.

This individual will primarily assist the Director of Membership and Giving with prospective member identification and outreach, member event logistics, and membership data governance and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an advocate for member data stewardship, both within and outside of the database, recommending best practices and creating and documenting procedures
  • Leads the management of all database operations including data entry, data analysis, data quality assurance, and data reporting functions
  • Performs membership recruitment & event sponsor research as assigned
  • Responsible for due diligence on new member nominations and providing an assessment to the Director of Membership and Giving on membership suitability
  • Assists with membership recruitment outreach and ensuring outreach and touchpoints are recorded in the database
  • Assists in drafting and proofing various member communications, including the BWC Quarterly Newsletter
  • Provides support for membership event logistics
  • Supports event sponsorship initiatives by assisting in work to ensure sponsors receive all agreed-upon benefits
  • Supports the membership team in its use of MailChimp, social media, and the BWC website
  • Responsible for monitoring, responding to, and routing correspondence received in BWC secretariat organizational e-mail account, and others as needed.
  • Assists in answering/routing all incoming phone calls (secondary)
  • Anticipates questions and provides timely, accurate information to members and assist with their understanding of the value of membership in BWC

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects in a very fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience with web-based contact databases (CRM), data reporting and data governance
  • A proactive and self-starter nature
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (experience utilizing mail merge a plus)
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, Drupal and basic HTML, and bulk email platforms such as Mail Chimp
  • Experience working in context of senior officials and C-suite executives while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • 1-2 years of professional experience; prior development, operational, or member services experience preferred
  • Degree in international affairs (economics, development, etc.), business, finance, administration, non-profit management, or related fields preferred;
  • Interest in global financial issues and/or international development a plus.

Salary and Benefits

High $50-$55k, dependent on experience; employer sponsored health care and retirement plans; paid vacation and sick leave; flexible schedule; mostly remote.
