Description

The Marketing Manager, responsible for the Education & Advocacy Division, serves as the staff position dedicated solely to the marketing and communications needs of the Education & Advocacy Division. The Marketing Manager consults with staff, vendors/partners and volunteer leaders to facilitate all marketing and communications work for Education & Advocacy.  Projects will include a variety of communication vehicles (social media, digital content management, written materials) that support  Education & Advocacy as well as special events for National Hadassah and around the country – such as Days in the District, National Assembly Mtgs., Conventions, Zoom events, chapter events that might request help from national.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • With the Marketing & Communications team and the Education & Advocacy Division Director, creates and develops strategies and marketing tactics to support the priorities of HWZOA and to raise the E&A division profile
  • Creates marketing materials and collateral resources (writes and edit) for both internal communications and targeted digital communications for external readers to inform, educate and engage/cultivate current and prospective participants in the work of the Education & Advocacy Division
  • Provide support to the Marketing & Communications staff throughout the country as well as the Marketing & Communications Outreach Team, specific to all Education & Advocacy events
  • Creates written content (through Basecamp and other tools) for the Education & Advocacy Division’s communication vehicles including, but not limited to written updates, promotional materials (for print and digital platforms), eBlasts, annual plans, semi-annual Assembly reports, the annual report, press releases and data reports as needed.
  • Works with Marketing & Communications creative staff on implementing effective Education & Advocacy marketing/communications. Review and proof work makes edits as needed and obtains necessary approvals.
  • Ensures brand and style guidelines are utilized consistently for all assets created for Education & Advocacy
  • Coordinates Division’s fundraising efforts and content on myHadassah, reviews and edits posted content and links for accuracy and timeliness as well as implement new online content or strategy as needed. Provides the Philanthropy Division with copy for grants and fundraising opportunities as required.
  • Reviews and updates   all E&A web content  including the National Action Center updates.
  • In partnership with the E&A Project Manager, assists with updating metrics, establishing timelines, developing assignments and tracking projects through conclusion.
  • For programs and campaigns, coordinates with marketing staff in other divisions (Engagement, Philanthropy, Organization) and Geographical  Areas.
  • Contributes to any new requirements for program evaluation, as determined by the HWZOA Data Center.

Education or Experience

  • BA Minimum and a minimum 3-5 year’s relevant experience, in public relations or marketing
  • Experience at a non-profit and/or marketing/advertising agency, in a similar role preferred
  • High computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite necessary and experience with Google Analytics, Basecamp, Monday.com or other online project management system a plus.
  • Knowledge of Jewish community or Israel a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent marketing and communication skills, oral and written including excellent proofreading skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, managing multiple concurrent projects is an essential skill for this position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish relationships with other departments within the organization, including active volunteers.
  • Strong project management skills, an important asset.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with social media platforms or media (press) relations an asset
  • Budget management experience an asset.
