Think Medium provides a digital platform to explore critical and emerging issues.  We customize original content through interviews and research.  Think Medium uses various mediums – audio/video podcasts, stories, and interactive graphics to shape and deliver personalized healthcare leaders' insights. 

Think Medium is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized person to join the team as a Marketing and Communications Associate.  This role will lead Think Medium’s online presence across social media channels, including developing content, responding to stories in real time, and tracking social media metrics on a regular basis.  The Marketing and Communiations Associate will ensure Think Medium’s online voice is engaging, strategic, and aligned with content and business the goals.

This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. In this role, you will work directly with the leadership team and be on the front lines of emerging technology with various multi-media content brands.

As part of a small team, you will have the opportunities to "wear many hats," work on various brands (Think Medium, Her Story, etc.), participate in high-level strategy discussion, develop marketing & communications strategies, and execute creative social media ideas.

What you will be responsible for:

Social Media Channels

 

  • Manage messaging and stories shared across social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Grow our digital footprint by operating our social media channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Create content for Think Medium’s social media platforms, including both proactive and reactive posts
  • Respond to real-time inquiries about Think Medium programs on social media channels
  • Support the Think Medium team in the use of these channels, from strategic advice to implementation of best practices
  • Track online and traditional media to capture key stories in real time, with the goal of responding to stories quickly and strategically online
  • Track metrics across social channels to ensure Think Medium’s online voice is consistent and strategic
  • Support both qualitative and quantitative audits of social channels
  • Create email marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
  • Create and manage prospects through mailing lists and data hygiene
  • Execute multiple email marketing campaigns simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with the content and post-production teams on email marketing initiatives to ensure seamless and high-quality execution.
  • Design, implement and improve email automation
  • Monitor and optimize email marketing campaign performance
  • Improve key performance indicators such as open rates and click rates
  • Achieve engagement objectives daily to meet key monthly & quarterly milestones
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns
  • Continuously improve and evolve new and inventive ways to promote Think Media's programs and services to our network
  • Keep a content calendar and staying within budget

 

Support Communications

 

  • Support the Think Medium team in promoting a consistent brand and voice across our programs
  • Track and maintain analysis of online thought leaders and target audiences and identify opportunities to engage them on relevant program topics
  • Populate internal editorial calendar, including key stories captured through media monitoring, and elevate strategic stories/developments
  • Create and disseminate key graphics and videos for the organization, ensuring messages are consistent with overall communications strategy and talking points
  • Advise on social media marketing strategies
  • Edit various outbound Think Medium materials, including reports, studies, media resources, blog posts, and websites.
  • Draft and publish approximately one blog post each week in response to relevant news, current events relating to Think Medium’s programs.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience managing social media and email marketing campaigns for healthcare companies.
  • Experience generating content for common social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Proficiency with social media management tool (Hootsuite)
  • Proficiency and technical skills in Email marketing platforms (MailChimp), to support with website management and email creation
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Superior spreadsheet skills, particularly Google Sheets, used for metric tracking
  • Adequate graphic design skills and a growth mindset when approaching new design platforms, tools, and products
  • Outstanding instincts for developing powerful online content that inspires and engages Think Medium’s audience
  • Ability to appreciate and contribute to a work environment that values integrity, adaptability, reliability, excellence, a commitment to learning, and a sense of humor.
  • Familiarity with best practices in social media & email marketing
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of comfort engaging with colleagues and guests to gather and shape interesting stories
