Graphic Designer Marketing

Term: 3-4 months

Location: Remote, must be in the local Chicago area (travel as needed)

About Us: Turn the Pages is a non-profit organization who encourages children and their families to make positive changes in the world through reading. We also give a voice and shine the light on underrepresented, self-published authors through our creative marketing and inviting book reviews.

About the Role: We are seeking a Graphic Design & Digital Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team! This position will work collaboratively with the design team to ensure proper planning, procedures, forms, and logs are completed for daily projects.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Create unique digital and advertising content to increase Turn the Page’s digital and social media presence.
• Help design and create content for marketing materials that aligns with our company’s brand such as collateral, mailers, ads, project inserts, digital graphics, etc...
• Assist with market research assignments.
• Collect, organize, and coordinate various photography and video department initiatives.
• Help with administrative tasks to include but not limited to reviewing work for grammatical accuracy and overall design feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Third year or fourth year college student, Associate’s degree or grad student in graphic design, art, marketing, communications or related fields at a college or university
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• At least 1 year of experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premier Pro)
• Familiar with social media strategies, trends, and platforms
• Access to Adobe software
• Access to a laptop or computer
• Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Photography & video editing experience
