Scion Nonprofit Staffing ( has been engaged to conduct a search for an expert Grants Manager for our client, an amazing conservation nonprofit organization in the Seattle, WA! Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Grants Manager will ensure that the grants management systems comply with organization standards and will work to continuously improve processes on outgoing grant operations. The Grants Manager will have the opportunity to be apart of a growing organization, this opportunity is perfect for a highly motivated candidate seeking career progression!

What You Will Be Doing

- Work with a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven team!
- Manage all new records relating to grants in system.

- Conduct due diligence prior to awards including risk assessments.

- Review proposals and budgets to develop grant agreements.

- Review and create reports on grant systems.

- Work in tandem with the team to ensure compliance of active grants.

- Monitor and approve grant disbursements.

- Identify compliance issues and troubleshoot resolutions.

- Work with the Director of Planning and support the planning and implementation of the Grants system.

- Identify issues in the Grant Management system and analyze data within the system.

- Research and administer best grant making processes for the organization as well as laws and regulations.

- Prepare contracts, attain appropriate signatures and payments.

- Review travel agreements and per diem as needed.

- Establish and maintain relationships with international partners.

What You Have to Offer

- A passion for environmental conservation as well as an appreciation for cultures all around the world!
- Experience in Grant Management with a solid understanding of international grants!
- Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience working in startup cultures.
- Ability to interpret complex grant compliance procedures, budgets, and government regulations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and database management software such as Salesforce.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Desire to contribute to a wonderful organization and team!


Compensation and Benefits
This position offers an annual starting base salary of $70,000- $100,000 DOE, plus a robust benefits package that includes paid time off, employer-paid health and dental coverage, a retirement plan, maternity and paternity leave after one year, paid community service days, paid holidays, as well as the ability to make a direct impact all around the world!
