Description

The National WIC Association (NWA), located in Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Finance and Accounting Manager to join its diverse team of fourteen dedicated professionals.

NWA is a high-impact non-profit, member organization that represents more than 2,000 service provider agencies that offer quality nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health care and other social referral services to at-risk women and young children in over 10,000 WIC clinics nationwide.

The Finance and Accounting Manager will be a highly organized, self-starter with a strong ability to take initiative and work well with diverse stakeholders. He/she/They will implement systems and practices to support organizational growth. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the accounting, finance, and bookkeeping functions for all cost-centers, assisting in the development of the Association’s annual budget, writing finance reports, and preparing annual audits.

To qualify, the applicant will have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Bill.com
  • Experience tracking restricted funds.
  • A track record of customer service and commitment to organizational equity, diversity and inclusion.
