Working in collaboration with the volunteer chair of the department and the Division Director, the Director, Evolve Young Women’s Department will be responsible for creating and driving strategies to attract a new generation of women to Hadassah through a commitment to women’s empowerment, domestic health awareness and education, and Zionism. They will develop creative programming and special events, build a national network of young women, develop leadership in existing young women’s groups, and build our Momentum Israel Trips, and Hadassah Young Women’s Israel Travel programs. The Director will report to the Director of the Engagement Division and work collaboratively with other departments and divisions within Hadassah to expand young women’s engagement across the organization and apply best practices in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, create, and implement all national Young Women events and programs as well as institutionalize and replicate them across the country.
  • Evaluate programs and report on outcomes.
  • Develop a network of engaged women across the country using social media and digital platforms in order for groups to inspire each other and exchange best practices.
  • Build community in individual cities through networking and programing on both digital platforms and face to face.
  • Develop local leadership through leadership training programs in partnership with other Hadassah departments.
  • Create and implement strategies that build integration opportunities for young women across Hadassah.
  • Create Partnerships with other organizations reaching Young women.
  • Collaborate with Engagement Division Marketing team and assist with creating messaging and National Campaign materials to attract Young Women.
  • Manage Young Women department budget.
  • Supervise Young Women’s Project Manager.
  • Work in partnership with the Young Women’s Department Chair, and the Young Women Volunteer team including the Young Women’s Cabinet, Momentum Trip Leaders, and local volunteer leadership.
  • Other duties as they arise.

 Education and Experience

  • BA or equivalent, plus 5 years job experience.
  • Experience in community organizing and other community building initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Management skills including supervision, budgeting, and working with volunteer leaders
  • Program planning and implementation
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks responsibly while maintaining the big picture
  • Must be a self-starter, able to juggle many projects concurrently
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve their goals.
  • Be a strategic thinker, who can address the present issues and accomplish long term success
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community and/or the women’s health community a plus.
