Description

The Director of Operations and HR will contribute to APA’s overall mission by leading and supporting seamless fiscal, operations, and human resource management systems, procedures, and processes.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in partnering with the Executive Director in strategic decision-making and operations as APA continues to build its comprehensive and innovative programs.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations and HR works with the Executive Director to manage the daily operations of APA including human resources, administration, technology, and facilities.

  • Assess and analyze operation budgets to find ways to reduce costs while improving efficiency
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive training program to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations
  • Manage the staffing processes, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution
  • Ensure the Agency’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied timely and consistently
  • Maintain Agency’s organization charts and employee directory
  • Keep staff updated on policy and procedural changes
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR administration or operations with a minimum of 3 years serving in a management role
  • A successful track record in setting priorities; problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision making
  • Thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity collaboration, and teamwork
  • Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organizational goals across the organization including best practices in human resources activities
  • Knowledge of inter-cultural skills and the ability to interact in a multicultural environment with multilingual communication skills
  • Experience with non-profits preferred

Salary: $90,000 - $94,000;​ Full time, 40 hours/week
