Title:                                       Director of Annual Giving

Reports to:                             Chief Development Officer

Work schedule:                      Full Time, 40+ hours per week, On-Site

Location:                                 Theta Chi Fraternity International Headquarters; Carmel, IN

Education required:               Bachelor’s Degree Required

Preferred Experience :           3 + years’ industry experience

Start Date:                             As soon as possible

The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for overseeing all stewardship and annual giving to the Excellence Fund.  They will spearhead all marketing, communications and branding for growing  the Excellence Fund. The Director of Annual Giving will manage the Foundation Chapter annual giving campaigns, direct mail campaigns and support Foundation Chapter Board meetings and board compliance.  This position will aid in the duties of, and report to, the Chief Development Officer of the International Headquarters staff.

Director of Annual Giving duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead all planning, communication and execution of all aspects of annual giving.  These include campaigns, events and any strategies to grow the annual giving to the Excellence Fund.
  • Support marketing, strategy and logistics support for capital campaigns, Foundation Chapter Board meetings, special events, conferences and conventions related to the mission of the Foundation Chapter.  These would include capital campaign in concert with the Strategic Vision.
  • Execute all mail campaigns for the Foundation Chapter including content, branding, vendor management and strategy
  • Support convention auctions, donor recognition events and fundraisers
  • Create and manage the Foundation Chapter Section content of The Rattle
  • Maintaining office efficiency by monitoring the Foundation Chapter’s needs and identifying opportunities for operational process and procedural improvements and Excellence Fund growth

The Director of Annual Giving will also be responsible for other duties as determined by the Chief Development Officer or designee.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional team player, positive and must possess a desire to advance the mission of the Fraternity. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with donors, alumni, volunteers, and colleagues; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and demanding environment; and possess problem-solving abilities. This is position sometimes may require irregular work hours for the completion of projects and meetings. Occasional business travel may be required.

Full-time base salary commensurate with education and experience.
