Description

The Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital is an audacious, transformational evolution of the Center on Media and Child Health which melds our world-class health research, education, clinical intervention and innovation with thought leadership from top technology, entertainment and health insurance companies. The Digital Wellness Lab brings together thought leaders from fields that have a stake in the digital ecosystem to understand and respond to its positive and negative effects on the development of children and the physical, mental and social wellness of individuals and society.

The Digital Wellness Lab Administrative Director will:

  • Lead, inspire and manage the Digital Wellness Lab’s operations and programs
  • Collaborate with the Director and the Leadership Board to develop, refine and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the budget, staff and priorities are aligned with the Lab’s core mission
  • Develop and support a strong, diverse and inclusive Board representative of the community; serve as ex-officio of each committee; build board involvement
  • Establish, cultivate and steward philanthropic, corporate, foundation and government support
  • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress and evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the Board, funders and other constituents
  • Support and sustain our close-knit culture in which we place a high priority of communication, recognition and collaboration; lead and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and volunteers by providing career coaching, growth, and personal development for staff
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating and strengthening national and international recognition
  • Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate budget, forecast updates, fundraising results, variances, and performance trends

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience, recently in a senior leadership role
  • Significant board development, fundraising, marketing/branding and fiscal management experience. Nonprofit experience ideal
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Management of a global or multisite organization preferred
  • Financially savvy and politically astute leadership skills with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate and guide investment in people and systems; deep understanding of financial strategies and performance metrics; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making
  • Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions
  • Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation and relationship development. Outstanding presentation and communication skills and the experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson, relationship builder and fundraiser
  • Deep commitment to the professional development of staff; successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse team
