Full-time, mid-level career opportunity available for dynamic fundraising and marketing professional. Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Development Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of development activities including prospect research, donor cultivation and engagement, and special events. The position is responsible for donor data base management, initiating and facilitating meetings with constituents and prospective donors. Responsible for managing agency marketing projects through timely communication, direction, and coordination with external marketing vendors. The role supports the Major Gift Officer and President/CEO in cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors and key stakeholders to enhance agency visibility and financial resources.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required to confidently and effectively interact with constituents, and Foundation board members, with a minimum of two years philanthropy and community relations experience preferred. Successful candidate will possess relevant education or credentials in Philanthropy, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations; CFRE preferred. Development of effective marketing strategies and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, donor management software, WordPress, and website and social media postings required.
