General: All Womankind personnel shall adhere to and support the Womankind philosophy and mission. They shall nurture good working relationships, increase productivity, enhance quality of work, and strive for high levels of achievement, resulting in high quality care.
Minimum Requirement: 3-5 years of successful fundraising experience. Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to attend occasional weekend and evening events. Excellent speaking and writing skills. Ability to work independently. Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
The full-time development director reports directly to the Executive Director. The Womankind Executive Director and the Development Director will work as a team for the betterment of Womankind. It should also be noted that the Development Director will have an Administrative Assistant to help with duties of the Development Director.
-Work closely with the Womankind Board of Directors, staff and volunteers to assess financial needs and potential funding sources
-Work with the Executive Director to plan and implement yearly schedule of mailings and events with specific goals set forth by the Development Director, Board of Directors and Executive Director
-Work with the Executive Director on setting an annual fundraising and communications plan which will include specific dates for events, publications and specific fundraising programs
- Donor Analysis, Tracking and Acknowledgement with the assistance from an Administrative Assistant
-Working with the Executive Director, oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements
-Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them
-Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
II. Public Relations and Social Media
-Help maintain and enhance Womankind’s positive image in the community
-Develop and update promotional materials
-Promote our special events
-Create and implement social media strategy within the Fundraising and Communications Plan at Womankind.
-Plan social media campaigns to improve community awareness and community involvement
-Engage and answer potential questions from the community in regard to Womankind
-Create and upload pictures, videos on social media platforms keeping in mind brand consistency and brand strategy
-Monitor social media platforms and monitor trends on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.
-Prepare press releases with guidance from the Executive Director
