We have remained steady in our mission to facilitate and promote education, fund research and support advocacy related to health and wellness. We are seeking a development and fundraising senior leader to develop this location. We believe the opportunity is there and the potential barely tapped. In this multi-faceted role, your diverse responsibilities will include providing the overall leadership and management of strategies designed to build relationships, enhance community presence and facilitate mission delivery and effective fundraising within the market. You will become the area’s primary spokesperson and communicator promoting our mission and presence in this market.

Reporting to a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing human and financial resources through the development of an annual budget and plan of operations.  You will be charged with establishing an annual revenue development plan that represents broad opportunities for special events fundraising, donor prospecting, cultivation, and retention.  Following our policies and procedures, you will build an efficient, highly functioning unit through innovation, collaboration, excellence and a culture of accountability to the organization’s mission. It is expected that you will cultivate productive relationships with the media and various constituent and related groups.

In this very public role, you will become the primary liaison to your Board in its fundraising, programmatic and advocacy responsibilities. In addition, you will actively promote the cultivation and meaningful engagement of volunteers in fundraising and programmatic activities.

As the administrative leader, you will need the experience and knowledge to appraise your operating results in terms of costs, approved budget compliance, operating policies, trends and increased net profit opportunities. In consultation with Human Resources, you will manage the staff related personnel management functions including, but not limited to, staff hiring/termination, performance management, training, supervision, compensation changes.

Qualified candidates will have the following skill set:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus six or more years of progressively responsible related experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Master’s degree a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Multi-lingual a plus. Strong geographic and demographic knowledge of area is preferred. Must be able to travel as needed.
