Description

PRIMARY AREAS OF WORK:

The Clinical Affairs Division, Communications (Clinical Information Resources) Specialist works with the Director, Information Resources and Outreach to develop and promote materials that educate and enhance the sharing and exchange of information between NACHC, national partners, its constituencies, and the public.

The successful candidate will have the ability to synthesize information into a readily understandable format, be dexterous with several project deadlines and priorities, and be able to coordinate and work with multiple people including Clinical Affairs Division, Communications and other NACHC staff. This professional will have strong writing, problem solving, and project management skills that will support the Director to meet deliverables and performance measures on time and within budget.

Specific Duties:

  • Writing (e.g., eblasts, emails, thank you letters, fact sheets, PowerPoints, content for Clinical bi-monthly e-newsletter, Clinical Affairs Division section of the NACHD website)
  • Providing creative review and input on product development for print and digital materials
  • Sending out eblasts via Constant Contact and keeping track of metrics
  • Marketing Division trainings and webinars
  • Maintaining contact lists in Salesforce
  • Tracking stories/ideas/promising practices from health centers
  • Developing and maintaining Speaker Bureau for media
  • Providing input for Social media editorial calendar
  • Setting up and maintaining tracking of upcoming and current publications, speaking engagements, vendors…
  • Maintaining templates (participant agenda, participant list…)
  • Working with NACHC’s Communication Division on specific tasks
  • Provide customer service to both internal NACHC and external NACHC members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Communications, Marketing, Journalism). Master’s Degree in health communications is a plus.

Experience/Ability/Knowledge

  • At least 3 years communications experience (working for public health organizations or associations is a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with health centers, primary care associations, a plus
  • Strong organizational skills for setting up processes
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines – attention to detail is essential
