The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing invites nominations and applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer.

 

The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) supports the interests of nursing education, nursing practice, and the public by the functions of accreditation. The purpose of the ACEN is to provide specialized accreditation for all levels of nursing education and transition-to-practice programs located in the United States, U.S. Territories, and internationally. The ACEN is recognized by the USDE as an independent, wholly owned subsidiary corporation of the National League of Nursing (NLN) and operates from the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, where it continues to expand support for nursing education.

 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ACEN will provide strategic and visionary leadership for providing services that are proven to anticipate and be responsive to the needs of the marketplace specific to nursing education and transition-to-practice program accreditation. This executive will be an influencer and motivator with an opportunity to further the quality of nursing education and nursing practice in this country and worldwide. This CEO will join a respected organization with international reach in a transformational role that impacts national policy and influences nursing education and nursing practice at the highest level.
