CFO – Reporting to CEO/Founder
Located in a college town roughly equidistant between NY and Boston
Innovative Healthcare Organization – Revenues Approaching $200 million
Involved in Patient Care, Research, and Professional Accreditation
Compensation in $250,000* range
Our client, approaching its 50th anniversary, provides innovative healthcare services to Connecticut and has influence beyond. The organization recently passed 500,000 Covid-19 tests and is running 4 large-scale vaccination sites.
Our client is looking for a high-energy financial professional with not-for-profit experience who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment. The CEO needs a strategic business partner who can move quickly from one issue to another. The individual hired will be an integral part of the 7-person executive team.
Whomever is hired will need to provide leadership to a solid 36-person finance team currently effecting a finance transformation. The ERP package is in its second year and other process improvements are underway to reduce the amount of time spent crunching numbers and more providing analysis and projections. Finance is currently being led by an Interim-CFO who will be leaving this summer. The function is fully staffed including several recent hires.
Improvements need to be made to the budgeting and purchasing processes including the development of KPIs.
To be considered a candidate must of 15 or more years of experience that includes quantifiable accomplishments (successful business integrations or start-ups, technology-driven process improvements, etc.). An MBA is a plus but not a requirement, as is experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Backgrounds which combine for-profit and not-for-profit will be given special consideration.
The individual who is hired must be organized, self-driven, and able to set and keep reasonable deadlines that have been agreed upon. He/she is expected to be a team player who is friendly but professional in his (or her) dealings with individuals whether they work inside the company or work elsewhere.
The company has an excellent track record of keeping quality employees for the long-term. Some relocation assistance will be offered. Currently all support staff is operating virtually. Consideration will be given to candidates who desire to work in a combination of virtual and on-site when the offices reopen.
