Executive Leadership
• Report directly to the chairman of the board of directors and work with the board to sustain the long-term vision and strategy for Hands Across the Sea • Lead and motivate Hands’ staff to maintain high quality program delivery • Act as chief fundraiser and spokesperson • Ensure the fiscal and administrative integrity of the organization

o Fundraising • Ensure the organization’s ability to support operations and growth by helping to retain Hands’ loyal individual, foundation and corporate donor base. • Identify, pursue and secure new individual, foundation, corporate, and government donors to diversify and broaden funding options consistent with Hands Across the Sea’s values and priorities • Work closely with the enthusiastic board of directors to steward current donors and cultivate new donors

o Program Oversight • Manage the existing program, consistent with Hands Across the Sea’s model, and identify opportunities to expand the scope of program operations • Engage current—and identify new—partners to ensure active support for Hands Across the Sea’s programs • Maintain grant and funding reporting requirements including report submissions, program evaluation and any required data collection and submission

o Board of Directors Management • Serve as the liaison to the board of directors reporting directly to the chairperson and treasurer on all matters of organization concern • Assist with the cultivation of new members of the board of directors targeting individuals who could make the greatest contributions to Hands Across the Sea

Hands Across the Sea, Inc. (Hands) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to raising the literacy levels of Caribbean children by assisting schools, libraries and educators in Eastern Caribbean countries.

Hands seeks a mission-driven visionary with impeccable interpersonal and communication skills and a great sense of social entrepreneurship and impact investing.

Desirable Qualifications: At least 7-10 years of senior-level experience in a nonprofit, business or international development organization in a fundraising and management role; prior experience in designing and implementing education projects relative to UN Sustainable Development goal #4, including budget and fiscal management responsibilities; excellent oral and written communications skills.
