Description
Move Over Breast Cancer (MOBC) is a small non-profit providing free programs and services to individuals affected by breast cancer. Services are delivered directly to clients in our exceptionally designed walk-in mobile resource van that can be driven to and parked at a client's residence or in a medical provider's parking lot. MOBC is rapidly growing and needs a creative, compassionate, tech savy, organizied, professional, high-energy part-time Program Assistant. We want to hire a dynamic and passionate person who has a zest for life and a willingness to be a part of a growing organization.
Requirements:
- Some experience with breast cancer as a survivor or caregiver, or work experience in breast cancer world
- Comfortable with FaceBook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube
- Excellent writing skills/blogging, web content, etc.
- Willing to work one on one with breast cancer survivors (using PPE and all other recommended guidelines)
- Lives near or willing to commute to Princeton and other locations in central NJ to meet clients
- Some event planning experience
- Good research skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- Pleasant demeanor
- Great sense of humor
- Can think outside the box
- Detail oriented but always understand the big picture
- Accurate data entry skills
- Willing to learn Neon CRM
- Can work independently but also loves group dynamic
- Discreet and understands HIPPA compliance
- Comfortable talking about breast cancer and all that comes with the diagnosis
- Warm personality
- Is excited to be a part of a new and innovative organization
- Enjoys makeup, hair, fashion, beauty
- Willing to be flexible with tasks and hours
- Able to collaborate, generate ideas and follow through
- Interested in fitness activities
Initial responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Data input and tracking using Neon software (will train)
- Updating QuickBooks
- Returning emails and phone calls
- Intake interviews with survivors
- Ordering supplies and taking inventory
- Updating Social Media and Website
- Assist with creating content for online platforms
- Event planning, reviewing contracts, marketing
- Meeting with survivors, using saftey precautions, in van with Executive Director
- Generating fundraising ideas
- Talking with potential donors
- Sending donor thank you letters
- Ethusiastic and passionate about the work
- Valid clean driver's license and willing to learn to drive a large van (no special license required)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Flexible schedule (occasional weekend or evening events)
- Can lift 25 pounds
- Can speak some Spanish
POSITION BEGINS APRIL 1, 2021
Hours: 10 daytime weekday hours to start (very occasional weekend or evening hours)
Salary: Comensurate with experience
