Annual Giving Specialist

The Annual Giving Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the management and development of strategic relationships with existing and new donors. Under the guidance of the National Director, Annual Giving, the Specialist will cultivate and identify strategic relationships with existing and new donors

Duties and Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with Annual Giving Officers, creates and implements cultivation and solicitation plans for new Annual Giving donors on a case-by-case basis. Employs multiple touch points including email, telephone, mail, and serves as a representative at various national, regional, or chapter events.
• Manages existing Annual Giving donors and re-engages lapsed Annual Giving donors by using appropriate strategies and tools needed to cultivate and upgrade these donors.
• Assists in the scheduling and coordination of selected regional/chapter Annual Giving events working cooperatively with local volunteer leadership.
• Assists in identifying and cultivating donors who could be upgraded to higher levels of giving.
• Participates in the creation and delivery of Annual Giving and Hadassah focused presentations at various national, regional, or chapter events as appropriate.
• Reports and tracks the progress of the Annual Giving donors in his/her portfolio.
• Collaborates with Major Gift Officers, other Annual Giving Officers, and volunteers on areas of solicitation overlap as appropriate.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years’ experience, including 1 year of donor communications, development, or fundraising experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Event experience highly desirable
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must have a high level of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
