Description
OPICA Adult Day Program & Counseling Center is seeking a Director of Advancement to manage the fund development and marketing strategies of the organization. Responsibilities include: creating an annual plan that includes revenue projections for donor funds, special events and grants; oversee the calendar and production of grants and reports in collaboration with the contracted grant writer; work with the Advancement Committee and Governance Committee for Board goals and development; ensure donor gifts are recorded and acknowledged; manage the marketing and social media for the organization; maintain and improve the organization website; supervise the Community Outreach Associate; produce reports as needed from GiftWorks and SalesForce.
Requirements
Required Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields is required: Nonprofit management, Business, Economics, Organizational Development or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field is highly desirable.
Required Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in the field of non-profit fund development. Experience with the aging population or dementia is desirable.
Skills Needed:
The ability to communicate well, work well with others and demonstrate patience and understanding with clients and families is extremely important for this position. Strong writing skills. Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Word & Excel. Experience with SalesForce or a comparable software; GiftWorks or a similar donor management software.
Mandatory Requirement:
Complete a Criminal Record Statement, receive Live Scan fingerprint clearance from FBI & DOJ, provide evidence of a negative TB test from within the past twelve months if skin or blood test, and 3 years if X-ray.
