THE ROLE

Taproot Foundation seeks a purpose driven, detail-oriented relationship builder to help its corporate and philanthropic partners connect skills-based volunteers with social good organizations that need help. This role is essential to expand and enhance Taproot Plus, an online network of talented volunteers and organizations, and ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

The Accounts Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of partners and ensures all work is completed on time and at the highest level of quality.

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States. The Accounts Manager reports to the Accounts Director, Taproot Plus.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate relationships with clients and partners seeking to advance their business goals, amplify social impact, and meet community need through skills-based volunteering.
  • Work individually with stakeholders to design and implement skilled volunteer engagement and outreach strategies that result in increased adoption, user satisfaction, and value to nonprofits.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications, Customer Success, Advisory Services, and other teams to develop and implement partner communication, engagement, and recognition strategies.
  • Design, schedule, promote, and facilitate interactive events that connect volunteers with specific business expertise to nonprofits that could benefit from and actively seek that assistance.
  • Research, analyze, and report progress against key performance indicators to corporate and philanthropic partners and senior leadership.
  • Contribute ideas and insight to the Program Operation team as an advocate for client and partner needs and to constantly improve Taproot Plus products and services.
  • Collect and respond to user feedback and deliver resources and expertise to meet their needs.
  • Support sales efforts that build new and enhance existing relationships with companies and grant making organizations capable to invest financially in Taproot’s mission.
  • Demonstrate resiliency and willingness adapt as needed to grow with the organization and the partners we serve. Quickly identify obstacles and propose mitigating forward-facing solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communications skills and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships within all organizational levels and with outside constituencies.
  • Experience with solutions selling and consultative sales approaches.
  • Strong skills to meet predetermined goals and objectives.
  • Significant planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate, and manage account programs and strategies.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated team player who can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate about building on ideas with tech and non-tech partners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and diligent in implementation and evaluation of those ideas.
  • Experience distilling raw data into actionable insights, creating clear, concise, and actionable reports, and making strategic recommendations based on business needs.
  • Fluent English skills (oral and written).
  • Minimum of four (4) + year(s) of professional experience with relevant non-profit, corporate and/or consulting practices focused on online product or account management and volunteer engagement.

Base salary starting at $65,000 annually; open to negotiation and adjustment subject to geographic region
